As the Director of Design at Telefónica Digital, you will lead our diverse and talented design team, shaping the vision and execution of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for our next-generation digital products and services. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for design, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across all platforms. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of design principles, user-centered methodologies, and the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex ideas into elegant and effective design solutions that drive business growth and user satisfaction.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Define and champion the overall design strategy and vision for Telefónica Digital's product portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and front-end developers.
• Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from user research and conceptualization to prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Establish and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and business teams to align design efforts with company objectives.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring user needs are at the forefront of all design decisions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to keep Telefónica Digital at the leading edge.
• Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior design leadership role, preferably within a large-scale digital product company.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing design teams.
• Expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful digital products and design leadership.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable design strategies.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• Experience with international or multicultural product development.
• Familiarity with telecommunications or large-scale digital service platforms.
• Experience with design operations (DesignOps) and managing design systems at scale.
