We are seeking a dedicated and experienced TEFL Course Instructor to join our teacher training department in Vitoria-Gasteiz. This hybrid role involves delivering comprehensive TEFL certification courses, mentoring aspiring English language teachers, and contributing to the development of our training programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ELT methodologies, excellent pedagogical skills, and a passion for shaping the next generation of language educators. You will play a crucial role in preparing candidates for successful careers in English language teaching, both locally and internationally.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Deliver engaging and effective TEFL certification courses (e.g., CELTA, DELTA prep, or IH's own TEFL courses) to adult trainees.
• Plan and prepare course materials, lessons, and assessment tasks in line with curriculum requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to trainees on their teaching practice and lesson planning.
• Assess trainees' progress and performance, ensuring they meet the required standards for certification.
• Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure the highest quality of our training programs.
• Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, progress, and grades.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in English Language Teaching and teacher training.
• Collaborate with other instructors and academic staff to foster a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level English proficiency.
• Recognised TEFL qualification (e.g., CELTA, CertTESOL) and significant teaching experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to adults.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering teacher training courses or mentoring new teachers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Advanced ELT qualification (e.g., DELTA, DipTESOL, MA in ELT/Applied Linguistics).
• Experience teaching in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in Spanish or Basque.
• Familiarity with the International House methodology and standards.
