Join our dynamic team as a Hostel Receptionist in the beautiful city of Girona! This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to be the first point of contact for our international guests. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operations, contributing to a memorable stay for everyone. Fluency in English is essential, and any additional languages are a significant plus.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Welcome and check-in/check-out guests efficiently and courteously, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure process.
• Handle guest inquiries, provide comprehensive local information, and assist with bookings for tours, transport, and local activities.
• Manage reservations, room allocations, and accurately process payments using our property management system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area and lobby throughout your shift.
• Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly, professionally, and with a solution-oriented approach.
• Ensure all hostel policies and procedures are adhered to by both guests and staff.
• Contribute to a positive and friendly atmosphere within the hostel, fostering guest interaction and satisfaction.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Fluent in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with our diverse international clientele.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to help others.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with property management systems (PMS), email, and MS Office.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and calm approach to challenges.
• A positive attitude, enthusiastic demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience in a hospitality, hotel, or hostel reception role.
• Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Catalan, French, or German.
• In-depth knowledge of Girona and surrounding areas, including local attractions, restaurants, and transport links.
