We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Welding Inspector to join our dynamic team in Chueca, Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding processes and products according to international standards and project specifications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of welding procedures, and excellent communication skills, with a particular emphasis on proficiency in English for international projects and documentation.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Perform visual inspection of welds before, during, and after welding operations.
- Review and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS), welder qualification records (WQR), and project specifications.
- Monitor welding parameters and ensure adherence to approved procedures.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) oversight and interpretation of results (e.g., PT, MT, UT, RT reports).
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation, identifying non-conformities and recommending corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and welding personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure quality compliance.
- Verify material traceability and proper use of welding consumables.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Certified Welding Inspector (e.g., CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Welding Inspector in a relevant industry (e.g., oil & gas, construction, manufacturing).
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and international communication.
- In-depth knowledge of international welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO, EN).
- Strong understanding of welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and metallurgy.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Additional NDT Level II certifications (PT, MT, UT, RT).
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001).
- Knowledge of Spanish language is a plus.
- Degree or diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
