We are seeking a skilled and passionate Furniture Restorer to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity for an English-speaking professional to work with a diverse range of valuable antique furniture, applying traditional restoration techniques while adhering to the highest standards of craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of various wood types, finishes, and construction methods, and a commitment to preserving the historical integrity of each piece. You will be responsible for diagnosing damage, planning restoration projects, and executing repairs, ensuring all work is completed to an exceptional standard. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will occasionally interact with international clients and document processes.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assess, document, and diagnose damage and deterioration on antique and vintage furniture.
• Develop and execute comprehensive restoration plans, including structural repairs, veneer replacement, carving repairs, and finishing.
• Perform various woodworking tasks such as joinery repair, wood turning, and inlay work.
• Apply appropriate finishes, including French polishing, waxing, and oiling, matching existing patinas.
• Clean, conserve, and stabilize original surfaces and materials.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of all restoration work, materials used, and time spent.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers, explaining restoration processes and outcomes.
• Adhere to best practices for conservation and health and safety regulations.
• Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion of assignments.
