We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Antique Restorer to join our dedicated workshop team in Torrelavega. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of historical materials and proven restoration techniques to contribute to the preservation of invaluable antiques and artworks. You will work on a diverse range of items, from fine furniture and decorative arts to various collectibles, ensuring each piece is treated with the utmost care and respect for its historical integrity. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a steady hand, and a comprehensive knowledge of conservation best practices.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assess the condition of antique items and determine appropriate restoration and conservation treatments.
• Perform skilled repairs, cleaning, re-gluing, surface treatments, and structural stabilization on various materials including wood, ceramics, metals, textiles, and gilded objects.
• Document all restoration processes, materials used, and conditions before, during, and after treatment, adhering to professional conservation standards.
• Match and blend colors, textures, and finishes to seamlessly integrate repairs with the original piece.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, art historians, and clients to understand the history and significance of each object.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on new conservation techniques, materials, and ethical guidelines within the field.
