Descripción del Trabajo

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Block Manager to oversee the operational management of a specific block or section of our prestigious property in Benicàssim. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record in hospitality or property management. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of your assigned area, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, managing a dedicated team, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an unwavering commitment to service quality.

Responsabilidades Clave

  • Oversee the daily operations of an assigned block of hotel rooms or apartments, ensuring all services meet Meliá's high standards.
  • Manage, train, and motivate a team of housekeepers, maintenance staff, and front-line associates within your block.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, coordinating with relevant departments for procurement and maintenance.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and security policies and procedures within the assigned block.
  • Prepare reports on block performance, occupancy rates, and guest feedback.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless guest experiences across the property.
  • Manage minor budget aspects related to block operations, optimizing resource utilization.

Habilidades Requeridas

  • Fluent in English (C1/C2 level) for effective communication with international guests and staff.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in hotel operations, property management, or a similar supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hospitality operations.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional fluency in Spanish or other European languages.
  • Experience working in a large international hotel chain.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards in the Spanish hospitality industry.
