We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead and enhance our cybersecurity posture in Spain, based out of our Valencia office. The CISO will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of information security principles, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR), and risk management, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and possess a proven track record of securing complex IT environments for large organizations.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive information security program aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the information security team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of security awareness.
• Define and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Manage and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and post-incident analysis.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Communicate security risks, strategies, and performance to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., CISO, Head of Security).
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs.
• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
• In-depth understanding of risk management methodologies and incident response procedures.
• Proficiency in various security technologies (e.g., SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, EDR, IAM).
• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements, especially GDPR.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CRISC).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience in a global enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with cloud security architectures and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of Spanish regulatory landscape is a plus.
