We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hairdresser / Barber to join our esteemed team at Tropical Shears Salon. This role is perfect for a creative professional who is adept at a wide range of hair services for both men and women, thrives in a luxurious environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding client experiences. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to our reputation for excellence within Cartagena’s expat community. This is an on-site position based in our stylish salon.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform a variety of haircutting techniques for men and women, including precision cuts, fades, and classic styles.
• Provide expert hair coloring services, including highlights, balayage, and full color applications.
• Offer professional styling services for various occasions, from casual to formal.
• Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs and preferences, offering personalized recommendations.
• Perform beard trims, shaves, and other barbering services with meticulous attention to detail and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all salon hygiene and safety standards.
• Stay updated on current hair trends, products, and techniques through continuous learning and professional development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat business and fostering loyalty.
• Manage appointment bookings and process payments accurately using salon software.
• Actively promote salon products and services to clients.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Hairdresser and Barber in a professional salon setting.
• Proficiency in various haircutting and styling techniques for all hair types and textures.
• Expertise in hair coloring and chemical treatments (e.g., perms, relaxers).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse clients and colleagues.
• Strong client service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and as part of a collaborative team.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Valid cosmetology or barbering license (if required by local regulations).
