We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Upholsterer to join our workshop in Gijón. This role is crucial for crafting, restoring, and maintaining our exquisite range of luxury furniture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for detail, a passion for fine craftsmanship, and the ability to work with a variety of high-quality materials. As an ‘English Welcome’ position, we are particularly open to candidates who are comfortable working in an English-speaking environment or whose primary language is English, facilitating clear communication within our diverse team and with international clients or specifications.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Cut, sew, and fit various fabrics, leathers, and other materials to furniture frames.
• Repair and replace webbing, springs, padding, and other internal components of furniture.
• Disassemble furniture pieces, carefully documenting each step and component.
• Measure and cut foam, padding, and fabric according to specifications and patterns.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively, including sewing machines, staple guns, and cutting tools.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Roche Bobois' high-quality standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to achieve desired aesthetic and structural outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to production schedules and quality control standards.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar skilled trade role.
• Proficiency in cutting, sewing, and fitting various upholstery materials.
• Ability to work with both traditional and modern upholstery techniques.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to read and interpret design specifications and patterns.
• Proficiency in English for understanding instructions and communication.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Formal qualification or apprenticeship in upholstery or a related craft.
• Experience with luxury furniture or high-end bespoke pieces.
• Knowledge of different types of wood, frames, and furniture construction methods.
• Familiarity with Spanish language is a plus, but not required.
