We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Services Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our dynamic team in El Ejido, Almería. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of building services for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and ACCIONA’s commitment to sustainability. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems, as well as excellent project management and communication skills. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable building solutions.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Design and specify MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) for building projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify existing conditions and propose appropriate MEP solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and schematics in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing for all MEP components.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and local building codes, regulations, and ACCIONA's internal standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and submittals for technical accuracy and compliance with design intent.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits, issue resolution, and commissioning support.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned MEP work packages.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating design concepts and technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience in MEP building services design and engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power distribution, lighting, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with Spanish building codes (e.g., Código Técnico de la Edificación – CTE) and relevant European standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional engineering license or accreditation (e.g., Colegio de Ingenieros).
• Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., IES VE, Trane TRACE 700).
• Knowledge of BIM methodologies and practical application.
• Experience with sustainable building design principles and certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
