We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Urban Planner to join our thriving City Planning team in Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Barcelona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant urban development projects across Catalonia and beyond. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of cities, working on diverse projects ranging from master planning and regeneration strategies to policy development and environmental impact assessments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of urban design principles, sustainability, and local planning regulations, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Lead and contribute to the preparation of urban master plans, strategic frameworks, and development guidelines.
• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and spatial data analysis using GIS and other relevant software.
• Prepare comprehensive planning reports, presentations, and technical documents for public and private sector clients.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and private developers, to gather input and build consensus.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide expert advice on urban development proposals and policy formulation.
• Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client relationship management.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Master's degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in urban planning or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of Spanish and Catalan planning legislation and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., COAC, RIBA, RTPI, AICP).
• Experience with urban design software such as SketchUp or Adobe Creative Suite for visualizations.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and climate change adaptation strategies in urban contexts.
• Prior experience working on projects within the Barcelona metropolitan area.
• Fluency in Catalan.
