We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Boat Tour Guide / Deckhand for the upcoming summer season. This dual role is perfect for someone who loves the sea, enjoys interacting with people from around the world, and is dedicated to providing an excellent experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while providing engaging commentary about Barcelona’s landmarks from the water, and assisting with deck operations.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct engaging and informative boat tours in English, providing commentary on local history, culture, and points of interest.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the tour.
• Perform deckhand duties, including mooring, docking, maintaining cleanliness of the vessel, and minor equipment checks.
• Monitor passenger well-being and respond to any inquiries or needs professionally.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and maritime regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the captain and other crew members to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with ticket checks and managing passenger flow as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Excellent communication and public speaking skills in English.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform deckhand duties (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
• Basic knowledge of boat safety and operations.
• Ability to swim confidently.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience as a tour guide or in a customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is highly advantageous.
• Experience working on boats or in a marine environment.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Relevant maritime certifications (e.g., recreational boat license).
