Join Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Localization QA Tester and play a critical role in ensuring the linguistic and cultural accuracy of our cutting-edge games and platform features. You will be responsible for testing PlayStation content across various languages, identifying and reporting localization bugs, and collaborating with development teams to deliver a flawless experience to our global audience. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent linguistic skills, and a genuine passion for gaming and quality.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Execute localization test plans across multiple platforms and languages for PlayStation games and software.
• Identify, document, and report linguistic, cultural, and functional localization bugs in our bug tracking system (Jira).
• Verify the accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness of in-game text, UI, audio, and localized marketing materials.
• Collaborate closely with localization project managers, developers, and external translation vendors.
• Provide constructive feedback on translation quality and linguistic style guides.
• Ensure all localized content adheres to brand guidelines and technical requirements.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of localization test cases and checklists.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level fluency in English and at least one other language (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and the additional language(s).
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for linguistic and cultural nuances.
• Familiarity with bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• A passion for video games and a solid understanding of gaming terminology.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with various gaming platforms (PlayStation, PC, etc.).

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• 1+ years of experience in Localization QA, Linguistic QA, or a similar role within the tech or gaming industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Experience with CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) or TMS (Translation Management Systems).
• Knowledge of localization industry standards and best practices.
