We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Proofreader to join our global team. As a Remote Proofreader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness of a wide range of English content. This 100% remote position requires an exceptional command of the English language and a keen eye for detail to uphold our high standards of quality. You will be responsible for reviewing documents across various industries, ensuring they are error-free and adhere to specific style guides before client delivery.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform comprehensive proofreading of diverse English content, including marketing materials, technical documents, legal texts, and more.
• Identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and capitalization.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and adherence to specific client style guides and brand voice.
• Review documents for completeness, clarity, and overall readability.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, linguists, and other team members to clarify ambiguities and resolve content issues.
• Manage workload efficiently to meet strict deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Provide constructive feedback on linguistic quality to improve future translations or content creation.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level proficiency in English with an exceptional understanding of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation.
• Proven strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to identifying errors.
• Familiarity with various style guides (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, APA, in-house guides).
• Proficiency in using proofreading tools and functionalities, such as track changes in Microsoft Word.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to articulate feedback clearly and concisely.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional proofreading or editing experience.
• Experience working with translation memory (TM) tools or content management systems (CMS).
• Understanding of different content types and industry-specific terminology.
• Experience in a remote work environment.
