We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Services Engineer to join our dynamic team in Girona. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and supervision of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems for a diverse range of projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver innovative and sustainable building solutions. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English, enabling effective communication within our international project teams and with global clients.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Lead the design and specification of HVAC, plumbing, electrical power, lighting, and fire protection systems for various building types.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with architectural and structural teams to integrate building services designs seamlessly.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical advice and support to clients and project stakeholders.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure all designs adhere to local and international building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for building services aspects.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in building services design.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ASHRAE, CIBSE).
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES VE, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED/BREEAM certification processes.
• Proficiency in Spanish or Catalan.
• Project management experience on complex building projects.
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.
