We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geologist / Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Bilbao. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various engineering and environmental projects, providing expert geological assessments and precise land surveying services. This position requires a strong understanding of geological principles, experience with modern surveying techniques, and excellent communication skills in English to liaise with international teams and clients. You will be responsible for conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports to support project development from inception to completion.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct geological and geotechnical site investigations, including drilling supervision, soil sampling, and rock core logging.
• Perform land surveying using GPS, total stations, and other advanced equipment to collect accurate topographic and geospatial data.
• Analyze geological data, soil mechanics, and hydrological conditions to assess ground stability and identify potential risks.
• Prepare comprehensive geological and geotechnical reports, maps, and cross-sections.
• Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and environmental specialists to integrate geological findings into project designs.
• Ensure all fieldwork and data collection adhere to company standards, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
• Provide technical support and expertise during the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
• Communicate effectively in English with project stakeholders, both internal and external.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in geological mapping, geotechnical investigation techniques, and soil/rock mechanics.
• Demonstrable experience with modern surveying instruments (GPS, Total Station, Lidar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to interpret geological data and create clear, concise reports.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification or license (e.g., Chartered Geologist, Professional Surveyor).
• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• Familiarity with Spanish geological and environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of Spanish or Basque.
