We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lighting Technician to join our English-speaking production crew in Barcelona. As a Lighting Technician, you will be crucial in executing lighting designs for various audiovisual projects, including film, television, and live events. You will work closely with the Director of Photography and the lighting director to achieve the desired visual aesthetic, ensuring all lighting equipment is set up, maintained, and operated safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of lighting principles, equipment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assist in the setup, rigging, and striking of all lighting equipment, including lights, stands, cables, and control boards.
• Operate lighting consoles and dimmers during rehearsals and live productions.
• Collaborate with the Director of Photography and Gaffer to interpret and implement lighting designs.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all lighting equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with lighting equipment quickly and effectively.
• Manage and organize lighting inventory, ensuring proper storage and transportation.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices on set and during events.
• Provide support to other crew members as needed to ensure smooth production operations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the English-speaking production team.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Lighting Technician in film, television, or live event production.
• Strong knowledge of various lighting fixtures, control systems, and rigging techniques.
• Proficiency in operating lighting consoles (e.g., GrandMA, Avolites, ETC).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing production needs.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with the crew.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Understanding of electrical safety protocols.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Formal education or certification in lighting, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DMX protocols and network-based lighting systems.
• Familiarity with film and television production workflows.
• Valid driver's license.
