Turner Construction Company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented MEP Coordinator for site work operations in San Antonio, Texas. This critical role involves overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems installation and coordination on our construction projects. The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP systems are installed according to design specifications, codes, and project schedules, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with various project stakeholders, including design teams, subcontractors, and our on-site construction management team. The successful candidate will be integral to the successful delivery of complex construction projects, contributing significantly to our reputation for excellence.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Coordinate and manage all MEP trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and local codes.
• Facilitate and lead MEP coordination meetings with design consultants, subcontractors, and the project management team.
• Monitor progress and quality of MEP installations on-site, identifying and resolving potential conflicts or issues proactively.
• Develop and maintain MEP schedules, integrating them with the overall project schedule.
• Implement and enforce quality control and safety standards for all MEP work.
• Manage the RFI (Request for Information) and submittal processes related to MEP systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to ensure adherence to design, specifications, and best practices.
• Prepare reports on MEP progress, issues, and resolutions for project stakeholders.
• Assist in commissioning and close-out activities for MEP systems.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Minimum 4 years of experience in MEP coordination or a similar role within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Experience with BIM 360, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar coordination software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• LEED AP certification or experience with sustainable building practices.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or institutional construction projects.
