We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Subtitler / Captioner to join our dynamic media production team in Girona. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and synchronizing subtitles and captions for a wide range of video content, including television programs, films, and digital media. Your work will ensure our content is accessible to all audiences, including those with hearing impairments, and will facilitate international distribution. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading media organization and play a crucial part in our content delivery process.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Transcribe audio content accurately and create precise subtitles and captions in Spanish and potentially other languages.
• Synchronize subtitles and captions with on-screen audio and video, adhering to strict timing requirements.
• Edit existing subtitles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity, ensuring cultural relevance.
• Ensure all captions comply with accessibility standards (e.g., for the hearing impaired), including speaker identification and sound effects.
• Collaborate with producers, editors, and other team members to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Utilize professional subtitling software and tools efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and accessibility guidelines.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Proven experience in subtitling, captioning, or transcription.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with subtitling software (e.g., Aegisub, Subtitle Workshop, etc.).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of media production workflows.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
• Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Catalan, English).
• Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
• Familiarity with various media formats and encoding processes.
