We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Subtitler / Captioner to join our dynamic Media Production team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality subtitles and captions for a wide range of audio-visual content, ensuring accuracy, linguistic precision, and synchronization. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about language and media accessibility to contribute to a leading media organization.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Transcribe audio content accurately and create synchronized subtitles and captions in Spanish.
• Translate and adapt subtitles/captions from English to Spanish (and vice versa for some projects) while maintaining original meaning and tone.
• Ensure subtitles adhere to industry standards and client-specific guidelines regarding reading speed, line breaks, and character limits.
• Perform quality control checks on existing subtitles and captions to correct errors and improve overall quality.
• Work closely with production teams, editors, and project managers to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Utilize subtitling software and tools efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive content.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Excellent proficiency in Spanish (native or near-native level) and strong command of English.
• Proven experience with subtitling and captioning software (e.g., Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Ooona, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Strong understanding of timing and synchronization in audio-visual content.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with various audio/video formats and delivery specifications.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Media Production, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a media production or post-production environment.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG guidelines for captions).
• Experience with different subtitle types (SDH, forced narratives, etc.).
