We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welding Inspector with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience to join our project team in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities comply with project specifications, codes, and standards, utilizing various NDT techniques to verify the integrity of welds. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest quality and safety standards on our industrial projects.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct visual inspections of welded components for defects, discrepancies, and conformance to specifications.
• Perform or oversee various NDT methods including Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI) as required.
• Verify welder qualifications, welding procedures (WPS), and ensure adherence to these documents during fabrication.
• Review and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications to ensure proper application.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with welders, fabricators, engineers, and project management to address quality issues and ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained in proper working order.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance procedures on site.

Habilidades Requeridas

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification.
• Level II certification in at least two NDT methods (e.g., MT, PT, UT, RTFI) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Welding Inspector, with NDT experience.
• Thorough understanding of ASME, API, AWS, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify critical quality issues.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Additional NDT Level II certifications.
• Experience with specific software for inspection documentation.
• Experience working on large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.
