We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Proofreading Internship within our dynamic publishing team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring professionals to gain hands-on experience in the publishing industry, refine their proofreading skills, and contribute to the quality of our published works. The intern will work closely with our editorial and production teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency across various texts before publication.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Review manuscripts, galleys, and digital proofs for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, and adherence to style guides.
• Verify factual accuracy, consistency in formatting, and proper use of terminology.
• Collaborate with editors to clarify inconsistencies and suggest improvements.
• Learn and apply specific house style guides and industry standards.
• Assist in maintaining a high standard of quality across all published materials.
• Provide constructive feedback and identify areas for process improvement.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Excellent command of Spanish and English language (written and verbal).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for errors.
• Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Literature, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
