We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher for a school placement in Valencia. This role involves working with students who have a range of learning, emotional, social, and physical needs, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams, and create an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. Responsabilidades Clave
- Assess students' learning needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to their requirements.
- Implement diverse teaching strategies and interventions to support students with various SEN.
- Collaborate with mainstream teachers, parents, therapists, and other professionals to ensure integrated support.
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting educational strategies as needed.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students requiring specialized support.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and SEN-related training.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, reports, and communications.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Proven experience working with students with diverse special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN principles, theories, and best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (B2 level or higher).
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Master's degree or specialized certification in Special Education.
- Experience with specific SEN methodologies (e.g., ABA, PECS, TEACCH).
- Familiarity with the Spanish educational system and SEN policies.
- Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the local community.
