We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong English speaking abilities to join our team in Adeje, Tenerife. In this critical on-site role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of a wide range of Caterpillar heavy equipment. This includes excavators, loaders, dozers, and other construction machinery. You will work independently and as part of a team, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and following manufacturer specifications to ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently. The ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for liaising with international clients and technical support.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on heavy equipment using specialized tools and software.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative repairs to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
• Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, and other major components.
• Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Communicate technical issues and repair statuses clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers, particularly in English.
• Provide on-site field service as required, traveling to customer locations within the region.
• Stay updated with the latest heavy equipment technology and repair techniques.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, specifically with Caterpillar machinery.
• Excellent proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Technical degree or certification in Heavy Equipment Repair, Diesel Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with advanced Caterpillar diagnostic software (e.g., ET, SIS).
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Previous field service experience.
• Forklift operator certification.
