We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Proofreaders/Editors to join our global network of language professionals. This is a 100% remote opportunity. As an English Proofreader/Editor, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and refining a wide variety of content to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammatical correctness, and adherence to specific style guidelines. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, error-free materials for our diverse range of international clients.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Review and meticulously edit English content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, style, and tone according to project-specific style guides and client requirements.
• Verify factual accuracy where necessary and flag any discrepancies.
• Provide constructive feedback and implement revisions efficiently and accurately.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers and other language specialists.
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all deliverables.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level fluency in English with an exceptional command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
• Proven professional experience in proofreading and editing various types of content (e.g., marketing, technical, academic).
• In-depth knowledge of major style guides (e.g., APA, Chicago, MLA) and ability to adapt to client-specific guidelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a freelance, remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a comfortable home office setup.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free work.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Experience with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or similar.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) or project management platforms.
• Specialization in a particular subject matter (e.g., medical, legal, IT, finance).
• Certification in proofreading or editing from a recognized institution.
