We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Inspector (HSE) – Site Safety to join our dynamic team in Salamanca, Spain. In this crucial on-site role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enforcing the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting rigorous inspections, identifying potential hazards, implementing preventative measures, and ensuring all site personnel adhere to established safety protocols and regulatory requirements. This position demands a proactive approach to safety management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct regular and thorough site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure strict adherence to all national and international HSE regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety plans.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop, organize, and deliver comprehensive safety training programs, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized risk training.
• Monitor and enforce the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work procedures by all personnel on site.
• Maintain meticulous records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and all compliance-related documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with site management, project teams, contractors, and external regulatory bodies on all HSE matters.
• Prepare detailed safety reports and communicate findings, recommendations, and compliance status to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure site preparedness.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous communication, education, and engagement with all site personnel.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Safety Inspector, HSE Officer, or similar role within the construction or heavy industry sector.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish (and relevant international) HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to construction projects.
• Excellent observational skills to identify hazards and potential risks, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to train, influence, and motivate personnel at all levels.
• Proficiency in preparing comprehensive reports and maintaining accurate safety documentation and records.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced, demanding on-site environment.
• Valid certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, NEBOSH, or equivalent recognized qualifications).

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience working on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is highly advantageous.
