We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Manager to join our Corporate Innovation team in La Latina, Madrid. This role is crucial for identifying, evaluating, and implementing disruptive ideas and technologies that will enhance BBVA’s competitive edge and transform the customer experience. You will be responsible for leading innovation projects from conception to pilot, collaborating with internal business units, external startups, fintechs, and academic institutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, project management expertise, and a passion for driving change within a large organization.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Identify and analyze emerging technologies, market trends, and customer needs to uncover new innovation opportunities relevant to BBVA's strategy.
• Lead and manage a portfolio of innovation projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and successful execution through various stages (ideation, prototyping, piloting).
• Foster a culture of innovation by collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders, including business lines, IT, risk, and legal teams, to gather insights and secure buy-in.
• Build and nurture relationships with external innovation ecosystems, including startups, accelerators, VCs, and academic research institutions.
• Develop detailed business cases, project plans, and success metrics for innovation initiatives, presenting progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and ideation sessions to generate creative solutions and drive problem-solving.
• Monitor and report on the performance of innovation projects, identifying key learnings and iterating strategies for continuous improvement.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in innovation management, product development, or strategy consulting, preferably within financial services or a related tech industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex innovation projects from concept to implementation.
• Strong understanding of innovation methodologies such such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and Agile.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive tangible results.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Master’s degree or MBA in Business Administration, Innovation Management, or a related field.
• Experience working with or in startup ecosystems, incubators, or accelerators.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies relevant to banking (e.g., AI, Blockchain, Open Banking, IoT).
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
