We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Art Dealer with a specialized focus on serving our growing base of expat clients in Vigo and the wider Galicia region. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships, understanding unique client needs, and facilitating the sale of modern and contemporary art. This role requires a deep passion for art, exceptional sales acumen, and a nuanced understanding of international client expectations and cultural considerations.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective expat clients, understanding their tastes and investment goals.
- Identify new client opportunities within the expat community through networking, events, and strategic outreach.
- Present and educate clients on artworks, artists, and market trends, providing expert advice and valuation insights.
- Facilitate art sales, including negotiation, contract preparation, and after-sales support.
- Organize and host private viewings, gallery events, and home consultations for expat clients.
- Collaborate with gallery directors and curatorial teams to tailor acquisition strategies for expat collectors.
- Manage client databases and ensure accurate record-keeping of interactions and transactions.
- Stay abreast of global art market trends, legal considerations for international art sales, and cultural nuances affecting expat clientele.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Proven experience in high-value sales, preferably within the fine art market.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with additional language proficiency (e.g., French, German, Portuguese) highly advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse international clients.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Deep knowledge of modern and contemporary art history and market dynamics.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client information and valuable artworks.
- Proficiency in CRM software and standard office applications.
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Arts Management, Business, or a related field.
- Established network within the expat community in Galicia or other international regions.
- Experience with international shipping, customs, and legal aspects of art transactions.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
