Embark on an exciting summer adventure with Cantábrico Tours as a Boat Tour Guide and Deckhand. We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and customer-focused individuals to join our team for the upcoming summer season. This dual-role position involves ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while providing engaging commentary about the local environment, history, and wildlife. You will also be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our tour vessels, including preparation, maintenance, and guest services. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about the sea, customer interaction, and sharing the beauty of Asturias.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct engaging and informative boat tours, providing commentary on local points of interest, history, and marine life.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the duration of the tour.
• Assist with vessel pre-departure checks, fueling, cleaning, and post-tour tidying.
• Operate essential deck equipment and assist the captain with mooring, anchoring, and docking procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
• Handle passenger boarding and disembarking safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic first aid if necessary and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Captain or management.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform deckhand duties in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of marine safety and boating procedures.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience as a tour guide, deckhand, or in a similar customer-facing role in a maritime setting.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Asturian history, geography, and marine ecology.
• Valid recreational boat license (e.g., PNB, PER) or equivalent.
