We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Clove Harvester – Farm Operative to join our agricultural team. This entry-level position is crucial for the efficient and careful harvesting of clove crops, contributing directly to the quality of our spice products. The successful candidate will work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, performing manual labor related to the harvesting and initial processing of cloves. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of crop care and harvesting efficiency. While previous experience is a plus, comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform manual harvesting of cloves from trees, ensuring minimal damage to the plant and crop.
• Sort and initial clean cloves according to quality standards immediately after harvesting.
• Transport harvested cloves from the field to designated collection points.
• Assist with basic farm maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, and irrigation setup as needed.
• Operate basic farm equipment and tools safely and effectively after training.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols on the farm.
• Report any crop health issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the farm supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with other farm operatives and follow instructions from team leaders.

• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific harvesting and sorting instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn and adhere to them.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in Spanish or willingness to learn basic Spanish for workplace communication.
