We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welding Inspector to join our project team in Benicassim. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations on critical industrial projects, adhering to international codes, standards, and project specifications. This role requires a strong technical background in welding processes and inspection techniques, along with excellent communication skills, particularly in English, as it will be essential for documentation and collaboration with international teams and clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of safety and quality, contributing to the successful completion of complex engineering and construction ventures.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Perform visual inspections of welds before, during, and after welding operations.
- Verify welder qualifications and ensure compliance with welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Monitor welding parameters, techniques, and consumables for adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) interpretation of welds, including RT, UT, MT, and PT results.
- Review and approve welding documentation, including NDT reports, material traceability, and weld maps.
- Identify and report welding defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant international codes (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO) and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project engineers, fabrication teams, and quality control personnel.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in root cause analysis for welding-related issues.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Welding Inspector in industrial construction or fabrication.
- Proficiency in interpreting welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
- Strong understanding of various welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and materials.
- Familiarity with international welding codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent visual acuity and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Additional NDT Level II certifications (UT, RT, MT, PT).
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
