Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial is seeking a highly motivated Proofreading Intern to join our dynamic team in Blanes, Girona. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the crucial final stages of book production, ensuring the highest quality for our diverse range of publications. You will work closely with our editorial and production teams, contributing to the accuracy and polish of manuscripts before they reach our readers. This is an on-site position designed for individuals looking to immerse themselves in a professional publishing environment.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Reviewing manuscripts, proofs, and other textual materials for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation issues, and factual inaccuracies.
- Ensuring consistency in style, formatting, and adherence to house style guides.
- Cross-referencing text against original manuscripts to verify all changes have been correctly incorporated.
- Collaborating with editors and production staff to clarify queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate records of corrections and revisions.
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to manuscript management as needed.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for errors.
- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
