Join Quercus Aventura for an exciting summer season as a Boat Tour Guide and Deckhand! We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to lead engaging boat tours along our beautiful waterways, offering guests a unique perspective on the region’s natural beauty and history. In this dual role, you will also assist with the safe operation and maintenance of our vessels. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys interacting with people, and is looking for a dynamic summer role. Full training will be provided, so prior experience, while a plus, is not strictly necessary.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Safely operate tour boats according to company guidelines and local regulations.
• Provide informative and engaging commentary to guests about local history, wildlife, and points of interest.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on the vessel and equipment.
• Handle mooring lines, anchors, and other deck equipment efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the boat before, during, and after tours.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with emergency procedures as required.
• Work collaboratively with other crew members and ground staff.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic swimming ability and comfort on the water.
• Physical fitness to handle deck duties and assist passengers.
• Fluent in Spanish and English for guest interaction.

• Previous experience as a tour guide, deckhand, or in a customer-facing role.
• Basic knowledge of local ecology, history, or culture.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Relevant boating certifications or licenses (e.g., recreational boat master's license).
