We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Serrano Farm Assistant to join our team in Ciudad Rodrigo. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn about traditional pig farming and contribute to the production of premium Serrano hams. As a Field Work Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock and the maintenance of our facilities. This is a hands-on role requiring physical stamina and a genuine interest in animal care and agricultural work.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assist with the feeding and watering of Serrano pigs according to established schedules and dietary plans.
• Monitor animal health and report any signs of illness or injury to senior farm staff.
• Clean and maintain pig pens, feeding areas, and general farm facilities to high hygiene standards.
• Participate in the movement and handling of livestock, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Perform general farm maintenance tasks, including fence repairs, minor equipment upkeep, and clearing of fields.
• Assist with planting, harvesting, or other crop-related tasks as needed to support feed production.
• Support senior farm staff in daily operational duties and special projects.
• Adhere to all animal welfare guidelines, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience in a farm, agricultural, or animal care setting (even volunteer experience).
• Basic knowledge of pig farming or livestock management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
• Valid driver's license.
