We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Urban Planner to join our team in Corralejo, Fuerteventura. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of urban planning projects across the island, with a strong focus on sustainable and innovative solutions. This position requires proficiency in English to effectively communicate with international stakeholders and to manage projects with diverse requirements. You will work on various stages of urban development, from initial conceptualization and feasibility studies to detailed master planning and regulatory compliance. Responsabilidades Clave

• Conduct research and analysis on land use, zoning regulations, environmental impacts, and socio-economic factors relevant to urban development projects.
• Prepare and present urban planning proposals, master plans, and detailed design concepts using GIS, CAD, and other relevant software.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, engineers, environmental specialists, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure all planning projects comply with local, regional, and national planning policies and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet strategic objectives.
• Facilitate public consultations and workshops, effectively communicating complex planning concepts to diverse audiences.
• Write comprehensive reports, proposals, and presentations in English for internal and external communication.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in urban planning, sustainability, and smart city technologies.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in urban planning or a similar role.
• Proven proficiency in English (written and spoken) for professional communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Spanish urban planning regulations and environmental legislation.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Experience with sustainable urban design principles and green infrastructure planning.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Ability to speak Spanish fluently.
• Previous experience working on projects in island environments or tourism-heavy regions.
